Why salt spray test chamber can produce salt mist?
The saturated sodium chloride salt solution is sprayed by nozzle under a certain pressure of compressed air. The nozzle is made of special glass. The aperture and bending angle of the nozzle should be strictly controlled in order to spray salt fog in accordance with the corresponding standard. Because of the small pore size, the nozzle is easy to clog, once blocked, it will not be able to form an ideal salt fog. So, that‘s why we ask customers to use deionized water when doing salt spray tests.
Because high pressure air is needed to produce salt fog, the compressor will also bring in water vapor and oil when it compresses the air. If oil-water separation is not carried out, it will lead to the phenomenon that oil is attached to the nozzle wall. Therefore, we require customers to use compressed air when there is an oil-water separator. Of course, considering the practical application of customers, we install oil-water separator on salt spray test chamber.
Therefore, when using the salt spray corrosion test chamber, we should pay attention to:
1, use distilled water or deionized water.
2, the compressor should install oil-water separator.
Daily maintenance notice:
1. If users use "air compressor" to supply gas, lubricating oil should be added to the air compressor on a regular basis.
2. After each test, turn on the oil-water separator switch, clean the oily water and wipe it clean.
3. If customer don’t do test for a long time,pls discharge the water in the saturator,the water in the saturator should also be replaced regularly when in normal use.
4. When not in use for a long time, if the test is redone, all electrical appliances and water supply, and the gas supply system should be checked concretely and systematically to prevent failure after power on.
5. If there are failures on the control panel,the electrical parts on the control panel need to be replaced in time, if you need to replace them, please do not disassemble them, you should consult the "technical department" of the company in time, after discussion, you can disassemble them to ensure the service life of the test chamber.
6. If the nozzle is clogged,clean it with alcohol, xylene or 1:1 hydrochloric acid or clear it carefully with ultra-fine steel wire, so as not to damage the nozzle wall so as not to affect the spray quality.
