Determination of volatile matter in calcium carbonate - 105℃ by drying oven
Determination of volatile matter in calcium carbonate - 105℃ by drying oven1 Scope
This method is suitable for the determination of volatile matter in calcium carbonate at 105℃ of mass fraction>0.5%.
2 Principle
Under the condition of drying temperature of 105±5℃, the ratio of quality difference between material before and after drying and raw material is calculated, that is, the amount of volatile matter under 105℃.
3 Steps
3.1 Sample
Weighing about 2g samples, accurate to 0.0002 g.
3.2 Blank test
Do blank experiment with the test material.
3.3 Dry constant weight
Place the test material in a weighing bottle of constant weight at 105±5℃, move into a drying oven TG-9075A, Dry to constant weight under 105±5℃.
4 Fruiting Calculation
According to the following formula, the content of volatile matter at 105℃ is calculated, expressed as mass fraction:
Formula :-105℃ volatile mass fraction,%;
- Quality of weighing bottles and test samples before drying: g;
- Quality of weighing bottles and test samples after drying: g;
- Quality and test samples: g;
5 Tolerance (cited in GB/T 19281-2003)
The difference between the two values is not greater than 0.04.
